Amber Sandhu is an engaging and energetic sports and news broadcaster, currently working across Sky Sports and BBC Sport.

Born and raised in Wolverhampton, Amber got her big break covering the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games for BBC Midlands Today. Prior to that, the sports science graduate, keen footballer and former county cricketer worked on BBC West Midlands radio and as a digital presenter for BBC Sport, fronting the channel’s WSL and cricket social content.

Following the Commonwealth Games, Amber was scouted by Sky Sports, where she now covers Aston Villa and her beloved Wolverhampton Wanderers – from press conferences and manager interviews to pitch-side reporting for Sky Sports News.

An experienced radio broadcaster, Amber has recently completed a year-long stint covering BBC Asian Network’s news-based Drive show. More recently, she has presented BBC 5 Live’s Saturday Breakfast alongside Gordon Smart and Ellie Oldroyd.

Alongside her passion for men’s and women’s football, Amber has reported live from ICC men’s and women’s cricket and hosted sit-down player interviews across The Hundred for BBC Sport.

Being shortlisted for these awards means so much to us and to our wider committee, it’s a meaningful recognition of everyone’s hard work and dedication. We’re incredibly proud of the culture we’ve created together and even prouder to see it continue to grow and thrive.

Being shortlisted at the Company Culture Awards means being recognised for everyone’s continued efforts to produce brilliant work for our clients without compromising social lives, personal successes, and rest. It means recognising innovation in a world where ‘remote’ or ‘work-from-home’ is often hotly debated and sometimes seen as less productive or even lazy.
