Digital design and Impact Agency Driftime® have been recognised as the Remote Team of the Year at the UK Company Culture Awards 2024!

From Portugal through to Brazil, by way of Cardiff, Norwich, and the Sussex coast, the Drifteam are about as remote as a remote team gets.

Since our inception in 2016, Driftime® have always advocated for remote work that finds remarkable talent internationally, as well as collaborating with those who happen to live within a hop, skip and a jump away. We work hard to close the international distance by fostering digital closeness and authentic, tangible support from onboarding, holding steadfast in our belief that remote doesn’t have to mean removed, but can instead lead to active, meaningful connections that cross international waters, as well as local counties.

“Being recognised for our commitment to nurturing an authentically supportive remote company culture has been a wonderful moment of reflection for us as a team, and for us as founders.”

Having been shortlisted as the Best Small Agency to Work For for two consecutive years, the Drifteam were thrilled to be named the Remote Team of the Year for our award-winning company culture this May this year. Being recognised for the way we support our international team is a real credit to the Drifteam, our co-founders, and the way we operate, bringing nine members together across waters and borders through our annual team getaway, quarterly cook-alongs, and a litany of other Drifteam-approved offerings.

“We see this as one part of a long journey in iteration and improvement of our company culture – we’re constantly evolving and learning how to shape a remote workplace that brings joy to both work and life, and we can’t wait to see what comes next.”

Applying for the Company Culture Awards provided a unique opportunity to reflect on our practice as a small business, and be recognised for our commitment to growing a happy, healthy, and fulfilled international team. From unlimited paid holiday, to our flexible four day week, we have developed a company culture that aligns with our values as a B Corp putting people and planet at the forefront.

Having grown the team to a steady number nine, we now operate from both a sunny tropical island in southern Brazil, and the seaside coast of Brighton, with a number of other cities, villages, (and a farm) in-between. No matter the view from your desk, Driftime® embraces the absence of physical close proximity, bringing joy to both work and life through meaningful company culture, team-wide support, and a healthy dose of fun.
