We work closely with solicitors and legal professionals to ensure that their costs are efficiently and effectively managed, allowing them to focus on their core practice areas. Our commitment to delivering exceptional service, attention to detail, and cost-effective solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients has earned us a place as a finalist in the esteemed UK Company Culture Awards for the Best Employee Development Programme (In-house) category organised by Don’t Panic Events.

We are excited to be recognised as a finalist, which is a true reflection of our dedication to nurturing and supporting the growth of our team through our Trainee Law Costs Draftsperson Training Programme. We strongly believe in providing our trainees and employees with ample opportunities to learn, advance, and thrive in their careers. Our meticulously crafted programme is specifically designed to equip our trainees with the necessary skills, knowledge, and practical experience to excel in the field as a law costs specialist.

Our Trainee Law Costs Draftsperson Training Programme offers unique features and invaluable benefits to our team members. Our trainees undertake comprehensive training modules, along with obtaining hands-on experience costing live cases, to ensure they receive well-rounded training within law costs drafting. Our programme emphasises continuous mentorship and development to ensure our trainees are supported and empowered at every step.

The programme consists of over 250 learning sessions, covering all essential knowledge required to deliver our services confidently and efficiently. Our online training platform, enables individual and team learning, coupled with daily one-on-one tutorials with our Head of Legal Aid Training, David Smith, ensures our trainees receive the highest quality education. Our Training Team is composed of seasoned experts with over 150 years of combined experience, offering a remarkable opportunity for trainees to learn, grow, and contribute to the exceptional specialist knowledge and assistance we provide to our clients.

We are proud that under our new training programme, we have successfully hired 21 Trainees, with the goal of bringing in 18 trainees each year until 2026, totaling 56 trainees. This initiative is aimed at resolving our recruitment challenge by 2026. The programme itself is rigorous and technical, requiring hard work and dedication. However, upon completion, trainees are rewarded with a professional legal career offering a bonus scheme and growth prospects.

We extend our best wishes to all the other finalists in the Best Employee Development Programme (In-house) category. Being recognised as a finalist at such a prestigious awards event is a true honor and validates the hard work and dedication we have invested in developing an exceptional employee development program. It also places us among other innovative organisations committed to achieving excellence.

As we eagerly look forward to the awards ceremony this May, we remain dedicated to further nurturing our trainees and employees, building a culture that values continuous growth and success.

Anonymous Testimonial about the training programme and their experience of working for Bidwell Henderson.

“In my experience, Bidwell Henderson’s training programme has been absolutely first class. You need no prior knowledge or experience and the programme takes you through step by step from the very basics, with practice exercises and informal quizzes to test your learning, such that you learn a great deal in a short space of time without realising how much you have absorbed. Once you progress to working on real files, there are many opportunities available to try different areas of work to broaden your experience and increase your potential. On top of that, you could not wish for a better, friendlier and more supportive team. There is always someone available to talk to or ask questions of, so you never feel that you have to deal with anything alone. They really are a true pleasure to work with.”
