At Ascent Group, we pride ourselves on fostering a workplace culture that empowers individuals to thrive and succeed. As finalists for the UK Company Culture Awards in the ‘Best Agency to Work For (Medium)’ category, we are honoured to share our journey and the values that define us.

In today’s fiercely competitive business landscape, attracting and retaining top talent requires more than just offering the bare minimum to employees. It demands a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and innovation. At Ascent Group, we’ve embraced this challenge wholeheartedly.

About Ascent Group

Formed of six specialist recruitment brands across the UK, Ascent Group specialise in IT Technology, Digital, Gaming and Immersive Tech, Executive Search, and eCommerce.

Sharing the same long-term vision, over the years we have phenomenal growth, and because of this we have had the luxury to expand beyond three brands from 2018 into a powerhouse of six brands in 2023: TechNET IT, TechNET Immersive, TechNET CxO, TechNET Digital, Cranberry Panda and ITR Partners.

Each division within Ascent Group is led by a team of knowledgeable recruitment experts, ensuring that we have the best mix of experiences and talents to navigate industry changes effectively. Our commitment to excellence extends beyond business growth; it’s ingrained in everything we do.

Nurturing a culture of excellence

At the heart of Ascent Group is a commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where every individual is valued and celebrated. Our workplace initiatives reflect this ethos.

Hybrid working

We’ve adopted a hybrid work approach, blending office teamwork with remote flexibility. This setup caters to varied work styles and promotes overall well-being. We believe in providing the best of both worlds: opportunities for collaboration in the office and the comfort of remote work. We understand that everyone works differently, and it’s essential to accommodate these preferences to ensure a productive and harmonious work environment.

Recognition and rewards

We firmly believe in recognising every achievement, big or small. Our dedication to celebrating excellence is evident through initiatives like Flex-Friday. By offering a four-day workweek to employees who meet their weekly targets, our consultants can look forward to a well-deserved three day weekend, with more time of their hands to do the things they want to do.

We were among the first businesses in the UK to introduce this innovative policy back in 2020.

Health and wellbeing

Our comprehensive healthcare benefits and mental health support through Vitality prioritise the wellbeing of our team members. This includes private health cover, as well as confidential mental health support, free private GP appointments and the ability to earn points for other benefits through exercise.

Family-friendly policies

We know how crucial it is to balance work and family life. That’s why, at Ascent Group, we support our team members who are parents with generous parental leave and childcare options. Our aim is to give new parents enough time to bond with their little ones and adjust to parenthood comfortably. Plus, we offer help with childcare costs to ease the financial burden. It’s all about creating a workplace where everyone, especially parents, feels valued and respected.

Continuous learning and development

Our training fully supports the consultant’s growth and will help to prepare the individual for future promotions and hit personal goals at a learning speed that suits them.

Our training is suitable for those joining at graduate/entry level, all the way up to experienced/senior consultant, and is tailored dependent on experience.

Anticipating the awards evening!

We are looking forward to joining the other well deserved finalists at the awards evening in May, and whether or not we take home the crown, being recognised as a finalist is a testament to the dedication and hard work of every member of the Ascent Group team.
