“We’re thrilled to be shortlisted for the Company Culture Awards – a testament to our team’s dedication to building a supportive, successful workplace. I’m proud to see their hard work recognised by the esteemed judges!” CEO Jo Reid

Being shortlisted for this award is a brilliant acknowledgement of the efforts of our team here at Calvium. It takes commitment from everyone to make our truly nurturing, positive and productive work environment.

What we do

Calvium is a leading digital innovation agency, dedicated to creating impactful and accessible solutions through the skillful application of digital technologies. For over 15 years, we have pioneered digital innovation in accessible placemaking and beyond, combining expertise in research, design and software engineering. Our work supports a broad range of public and private clients to achieve their goals, with a focus on inclusion and meaningful impact.

Our broad client base covers public and private sectors, including NHS, Department for Transport, Rolls Royce, Environment Agency, National Trust and councils including City of Edinburgh and Wiltshire. Our work for smaller organisations include partnering with Open Bionics to develop a prosthetic arm app, working with UCanGo to create a cultural venue wayfinding service for young people with visual impairments, and we are currently contributing to All In, the pioneering UK-wide arts access scheme.

How we do it

We’re passionate about fostering diversity, equality and inclusion in everything we do – from recruitment and professional development to workplace policies. This approach underpins our company culture, informs the accessible digital projects we create, and delivers added value for our clients. Our commitment shines through in our development approach, which emphasises human-centered design and accessibility across the project lifecycle.

Making impact

Our inclusive, high-performance culture empowers our team to learn, grow and share knowledge: delivering enhanced value to projects. This supportive environment fosters loyalty and ensures that every team member feels valued and respected.

With broad expertise and flexibility, the Calvium team consistently delivers top-quality results – reflected in our many accreditations and strong client relationships.

In addition to delivering value to clients and product users, we contribute to wider communities of knowledge, sharing our experience to increase positive change. We deliver industry-leading insight in presentations, publications and expert interviews, co-chair the Disability Confident Network South West, and participate in the Tech for Good and SME Climate Hub communities.

Fantastic acknowledgement for a fantastic team!

We’re very proud of the culture we’ve collectively developed at Calvium – it’s taken commitment and positivity from everyone in the team to build a truly high-performance culture for both individual and business growth, while delivering real value for clients.

This award is a fantastic accolade for the efforts of our now fully remote, international team. Though geographically dispersed, we strive for shared goals and a clear vision, providing mutual support that enables us all to deliver projects with greater impact than the sum of its parts.

“I’m inspired by our team. Equally, it’s inspiring to be shortlisted alongside other exceptional businesses in the Company Culture awards. These awards are a fantastic showcase of best practice, and a brilliant platform to promote and inspire positive change across the UK business landscape.” CEO Jo Reid
