At Distinctly, wellbeing is not just a concept; it’s woven into the very fabric of our culture. It’s a cornerstone of our values, shaping how we collaborate and support one another. We firmly believe that when our team members are supported with their wellbeing, they are better equipped to excel in their roles, driving success for themselves and the agency.

“We’re incredibly honoured to have been awarded the Best Workplace Health & Wellbeing Awareness Initiative for the second consecutive year. This recognition underscores our unwavering dedication to creating a workplace environment where each team member can thrive both personally and professionally.”

Jen Wlodyka, Snr Operations and Culture Manager

Thriving Together Wellbeing Month

Our award acknowledges the impact of our Wellbeing Month, held in October 2023, which centred around the theme of Thriving Together. This theme was carefully chosen to reflect our belief that in order to thrive we need to not only focus on our own wellbeing, but also contribute to the collective wellbeing and success of those around us..

Our objectives for wellbeing month were:

  • ●  Raising Awareness: Educating the team on what is available at Distinctly to support wellbeing
  • ●  Building Fortitude: Cultivating collective resilience across the teams, to help tackle areas such as workplace stress
  • ●  Strengthening Connections: In a world where social bonds are more important than ever, we focused on growing our social connections and build our sense of community Thriving Together influenced the design of activities, information shared and events that we held across the month. It was designed for everyone and to be inclusive for all our employees, whether they were in the office or working remotely. Each week shone a spotlight on our four key wellbeing pillars: Financial Wellbeing, Emotional Wellbeing, Physical Wellbeing and Social Wellbeing. This structured approach provided a comprehensive exploration of the factors contributing to holistic wellbeing. Some of the highlights included a Fundamentals of Financial Wellbeing workshop with The Money Charity, Tea and Talks with our trained mental health first aiders, rejuvenating yoga and breathwork practice with Yoga Makes Me Smile and even a lively music quiz on a Friday afternoon! In order to understand the effect our Wellbeing Month had on the team, we had clear measures put in place to assess its ongoing effectiveness. Following the month, we welcomed feedback from the team, with 80% agreeing that our initiatives had achieved their intended goals. Whilst incredibly positive, this feedback also motivates us to continuously improve and innovate.

Our Mission

At Distinctly, our mission is clear: to achieve greatness for our team and clients by working smart and giving everyone a chance to shine. As an employer, our commitment to employee wellbeing extends far beyond Wellbeing Month. We’re constantly exploring new ways to engage our team, recognising that fostering positive wellbeing is an ongoing and collective journey.
