Who are Oyster?

We are Oyster Design – a small, but perfectly formed, full-service design agency based in Emsworth on the South Coast.

Our culture is one of the things we are most proud of, so we are beyond excited to have been shortlisted for a UK Company Culture Award! We were particularly excited to be shortlisted for ‘Best Agency to Work For’ because we put so much into making sure our Agency is a place our team love to be, and that our clients love to work with!

The value of our values

Our values are centred around creating a workplace which is supportive, rewarding and fun. We always want our team to love coming to work, and building an environment where they can be themselves without compromise is of the utmost importance to us. As well as bringing a multitude of skills and expertise to the table, we promote an environment where our team members are encouraged to help each other, lift each other up and always support one another.

We offer a number of benefits like breakfast Tuesdays, 2 big social events each year, wellness week, a staff rewards scheme and flexible working hours for whoever needs it. We know how hard it is to get a good work/life balance, so we also have a dedicated policy to make sure our team members never miss out on important life events.

A culture of lasting relationships

Without our clients we simply wouldn’t have a business, so we always strive to nurture our existing customers and wow our new ones. We pride ourselves on our long-lasting relationships and most of our clients have been with us for over 5 years, continuing to use us for all of their marketing needs. One of our values is “part of your team” and we want our clients to feel that we are just that.

“Throughout the visual identity project, the communication and support from the team at Oyster was excellent. They consistently delivered with professionalism and creativity, listened carefully and responded to feedback with real insight into our needs. It is refreshing to work with an agency that takes such pride in what they do; they have been great to work with and we would happily recommend them.” Anna Grint- Lymphoma Action

Working collaboratively with our clients in a positive way is how we like to do things, and we always act with integrity and authenticity.

Our team are proactive with ideas and solutions, and we promote an environment where our team thinks creatively and is never afraid to share ideas. Every idea is considered, and we work hard to ensure our team are feeling inspired and passionate about what they do by visiting clients, going out to see our work ‘in the wild’ and sharing an ethos of being a reliable and trustworthy support for our customers.

Community is everything!

We work with a lot of wonderful charities and giving back is something we are incredibly passionate about. Every year we host a charity week which is centred around raising money and awareness for our chosen charity of the year. Last year we raised over £1000 for Lymphoma Action.

We also support local charity Verity’s Gift by creating marketing assets free of charge and donating towards their scheme to ensure low-income families in the area are given Christmas food and presents

40% of our employees live within 5 miles of Emsworth and the other 60% live within 20 miles. Nurturing local talent is something we really enjoy, and we are proud to be able to offer opportunities within the design industry in a regional setting.

What it would mean to win

We are very proud of what we have achieved as a small regional agency, and we work with some very well-established organisations all over the world. This is all down to the hard work of our incredible team who continue to put our values at the heart of everything we do. Winning an award would be a great way for us to celebrate our team and congratulate them for all of their hard work.
